With all the sights, sounds and aromas of Christmas, one that triggers memories for me is a perfume that hardly anyone remembers - Taboo. My two older cousins, Jean & Helen, wore it & so, naturally, I wanted to use it as well. Hadnt thought of it in years until I saw a bottle of Taboo at a store two years ago. Last night, I decided to use a little and in doing so I was instantly transported to my Uncle Roys & Aunt Alitas kitchen in Milwaukee on Christmas Eve. Shrimp & cocktail sauce, that special jello salad, raw beef & onions & a whole lot more. It was in their home on Christmas I got my first tape recorder and look what that led to! All those memories, on a bottle of old time perfume.
