With every concert I attend I am witnessing first hand the strength and beauty of our people. People are good, even great, and through a simple visual device like a Good Sign we are providing a common meeting place for our collective goodness to shine. For just a few moments we are celebrating our likeness; our love of song, dance, each other and the nights we will never forget. I grow emotional as I dwell in my pride for our community here in the Detroit area, and ever-growing span of positivity forming around the world under a common Good Sign. Let us focus on our mutual love and pursuit of peace, decency, accountability, and happiness. It is time we follow through with our convictions and lead by example to create an environment in which we would be comfortable raising our children, and instill in them the very notions of simple brilliance that we discover when we live for others, for our passions, and without burden of another.
