With heavy heart, Im posting my spey rod & reel for sale. Loop Blue Line 14ft 9wt rod & JW Young 1540 reel, 4 1/4 wide drum click & pawl. Rod is immaculate, always case stored. Cork isnt even soiled. The JW Young 1540 reel came to me as most of the 1500 series do, slightly pitted & the finish flaking. It has been soda blasted & polished to restore its looks and hand rubbed with sealer. Reel foot is modified to fit modern reel seats. 2 brand new pawls from Bill Archuleta over the winter. Reel comes with 2oo yds of GSP 50lb backing, and an Airflo Ridge Line 30lb running line. For $40 Ill also throw in the 600gr Airflo Rage head. This combo is just too large for the rivers I fish, and to get another rod/reel, I have to move this one. Asking $350.
