With loving greetings to one and all... it is with great pride, humility, joy, effervescence and an intimacy unbeknown to me up to this point that i offer to you my first solo album. I must thank a host of Gurus who, through my life, have guided me in very many ways. With tears in my eyes a massive hug and thanks first and foremost to Swami Shivapadananda Maharaj, a pillar of strength - my Father, an infinite source of love and belief - my late Mother, Swami Premanada Puri, the one who has endured my varying moods through the recordings - Ashika Joshi, those who have taught me about life and music - Sri Jeram Bhana, Steve Newman, Anil Rambaran, Greg Georgiades, Deepak Ram, Marc Duby, Fidah Hussein, Syd Kitchen, Johnny Clegg the men from Kwani Experience and Chris Lewis; the masters of music whose tracks have great influence and brought to me much happiness unknowingly - Zakir Hussain, Lata Mangeshkar, Sade Adu, Buena Vista Social Club, Mukesh, Mohammed Rafi, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Tananas, Jagjit Singh, Anup Jalota, Pankaj Udhas and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan; three little angels who always bring joy to my life - Akhil, Kashmira & Samiksha.
