With mixed emotions I am excited/sad to announce that I am leaving KGET to become the weekend sports anchor at CBS 4 in Denver, CO. When I came to Bakersfield four years ago I had no idea how long I would be here. I was extremely fortunate to be given a chance to be Sports Director at KGET after Todd Strain left for San Diego. The longer I was here, the more Bakersfield felt like home. As time went on the list of places I would leave for became very small, but at the top of that list is Denver, Colorado (my home state). I feel very lucky to have worked with some amazing people (Jim Scott, Rachelle Murcia, Kget Tami Mlcoch, Alissa Carlson, Kiyoshi Tomono, Maddie Janssen Kget, Kevin Charette, John Pilios, Michael Trihey, Megan Moore Simpson, Erica Torres, Suzanne Stewart, Charles Alan Prock, Grant Simpson, Sam Montero, Adam Espinoza, Eliel JH, Kelsey Thomas Pizzi, Kristin Price, Kget Katey Rusch, Robin Mangarin Scott, Jesse K. Cash, Kget Lina Washington, Trevor Thompson, Sabrina Erskine Hutton, Leslie Carroll... and I know I am forgetting people). And I also feel very fortunate to have covered some great teams (Bakersfield Condors, Bakersfield Blaze, Bakersfield Jam, CSUB, B.C. and many great high schools). I will have nothing but great memories from Bakersfield, but I am excited to go home! Hopefully my John Elway jersey is still in my parents basement.
