With regard to todays pie relay............On behalf of Stephen, myself and everyone at The Kandy Bar. We did not go looking for this, in fact we actually said no when we were contacted on Saturday as we dont do mail order. We then were contacted by our association (Scottish Bakers) on Monday and put in touch with Dave Williams who had contacted them with regard to getting our scotch pies as Craig comes from Saltcoats. At no point has The Kandy Bar approached the press in fact Stephen wasnt interested in publicity. He was going to do the journey himself today from Saltcoats to Wiltshire but Craigs army friends wanted to relay them too, so Stephen drove Saltcoats to Carlisle. This morning we received messages to say Craigs spirits had been lifted by the effort that his friends were going to. At no point have we posted any photos of Craig online in his bed. We are sorry if our actions have caused anyone upset, that was never our intention. As far as we are aware the press were given permission to print the photo. The Facebook posts today were to keep well wishers of Craigs informed of the location of the pies. We have only posted photos given to us by family and friends. This was done by a Saltcoats lad for a Saltcoats lad.
