With retails opening their doors all day Thanksgiving, weve finally given up on heritage and tradition. We forget why we should be thankful for what we have, and instead will join in on the frenzy of buying stuff we really dont need, rather than give thanks for the things we do. We may joke about it, but it is a fundamental shift in our society. Christmas itself is already a secular spending excuse. I will not be shopping on Thanksgiving Day. That just seems so shameful.
