With strong cry over the operations of Uber, I had started to push for the banning of Uber services in Singapore as early as Apr 14. I had written letter to Ministry of Transport, LTA regarding the above matters. Sadly, they are dragging their feet over the issue. With strong support from the Taxi companies and National Taxi Association (NTA) regarding the banning, LTA still dragging their feet. Until I had given them the final dateline to give us a timeline for the answer with strong words and actions that I intend to do, the matter are now gone to the NTUC Chief, Lim Swee Say. According to the source, Lim Swee Say have in fact agreed to the reason given by us on the banning of Uber. With the support from NTUC Chief, LTA cannot dragged their feet over this matter. Now keeping my finger cross, hoping a positive outcome with come out in favour of banning the Uber.
