With the holidays here, lots of editing to do and trips planned right after New Years; I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for making this a great year for me. I was able to travel to some new places and experience some things I have never had a chance to before. Thank you Jeffrey Buckner and Travis Buckner for showing me duck hunting in the Texas salt marsh. Dark rides across a bay via Airboat, that will keep your adrenaline going, especially when you see it during daylight and realize what you just did. Flocks of redheads like I have never seen. Then up to Oklahoma for the Mallard smack down with Jeff and Travis on special hunt that raises money for the Wildrose Diabetic Alert Dog Foundation. That was a great hunt for a great cause. Shooting fly fishing and bears for a groups 20th Anniversary of fishing at the Kulik Lodge in Alaska ( this was the first time I ever saw Alaska green and not covered in snow). Giant Rainbows, lake trout and Sockeyes. Huge bears 30 yards away eating salmon 200 miles from city lights. Two great trips to North Dakota to North Dakota on pheasants and sharp tail hunts. One with my friend Bill Behnke who I can not thank enough for all he has done for me and my photography career. The great group of guys I have shared pheasant camp with for the last I think six years that have are now friends. The second trip with the gang from Wildrose Kennels a great time with great people with great dogs. Where else can you hunt with 16 plus dogs all under control. You can not beat the Wildrose Way. Fly Fishing with my beautiful wife and super model Kelly Laughton in Montana in October. Seeing her getting hooked on fly fishing and catching some of her first big fish was one of the best experiences of my life. There is not a more beautiful backdrop than the Big Sky country. Now to give a huge THANK YOU to all my clients who have made this a great year for me. The support you all have given me this year was unbelievable and I am very blessed to have clients like you. Retriever Journal, Pointing Dog Journal, Just Labs Magazine you guys rock and I can not thank you enough for almost ten years of using my images. Great magazines that are specific to our four legged friends. I really appreciate all that you have done for me. Covey Rise Magazine a beautiful new magazine about the sporting lifestyle. I have been pretty lucky to have had an image in every issue since they began as a full fledged magazine. Thank you so much. Shooting Sportsman a huge thank you to them I finally got a cover shot. Those of you who have heard the story I was the bridesmaid and never the bride for many years. For four years it was always down to two photographers me and someone else. Finally I got it and it was a shot of my boy Zach. Waterfowl and Retriever Magazine for giving me the cover this year. Loving technology with this one. I was still traveling and they requested that image of Snoop retrieving a red head that I took just days before in Texas. Gotta love that. Gundog and Widlfowl magazines thank you so much for using all the images that you did this year. I really appreciate that. Windigo Images , Mitch Kezar and Ellen Becker, I want to thank you for being a great mentor and showing me the ropes in this business ten years ago. You help this greenhorn come along way. And most of all getting my images out there and in front of the folks who want to buy them. Thanks to Tom Keer Angela Keer and The Keer Group I really appreciate all that you have done for me. With a bonus being the new friendship we have. Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Quail Forever, Ruffed Grouse Society and Woodcock Limited all great conservation organizations working hard to create habitat and educate us.
