With the negativity surrounding WTS/Philly and RTS/O, can I be positive? What if a seminary took theological, missional, and personal formation seriously? What if you could learn from experienced urban church planters who were at Redeemer in the early days and have planted thriving churches? What if pastoral health was valued throughout the curriculum, not just in one counseling course? What if languages were taught by active participation and play? What if the theologians were steeped in Calvins theology of union? What if you could live on-campus among the developmentally disabled to practice hospitality and love? Or do an MDiv distance learning in four years with an urban church planting emphasis and classes in San Francisco? Or a DMin you design? Or a completely distance ed missional MA degree? With missiologists who are disciples of Newbigin? In a seminary that is a part of the oldest Reformed denomination in the US, one that has not ever splintered from another? Where being steeped in Calvin is not incompatible with ecumenical conversation? Where a deep sacramental vision informed the entire liturgical life of the campus?
