With their band on the road, one may think that Kristen didn’t have time for anything that was not for Antigone Rising, but in fact she managed to meet her dream girl through a mutual friend. Kristen and Sarah Kate Ellis, GLADD president and CEO (glaad.org), have been together since 2005 and married soon after it became legal in New York City. The couple were photographed kissing for the cover image of Time magazine’s historical issue featuring the article, “Gay Marriage Already Won.” Kristen is not shy about their famous kiss, “I told Sarah, let’s just go for it, and we did!” With a laugh she says, “It was fun and we landed on the cover.” And now they’ve made another cover!
