Without giving you all of the boring details, we have an urgent prayer request for Kristi. Our insurance changed on September 1st and we were assured by the new company, AETNA, that Kristi would be able to continue with all of her rehab therapies just as with BCBS. We have now found out that Kristi may not be able to continue very much longer with her speech and cognitive therapy. She is on the brink of overcoming another giant obstacle, and everyone around her can see it happening. We are battling with the insurance carrier and it is exhausting, to say the least! Its part of the system, they wear you down by continually denying the requests and changing codes and keeping you on eternal hold only to be told that you have the wrong department and eventually you are transferred back to the starting point. We will continue to battle this BUT we desperately need your prayers for strength and for a caring, concerned contact with AETNA like we had with BCBS. Speech therapy is where Kristis memory rehabilitation and training for her independence occurs. Her memory has improved more in the last month than in the previous 22 months combined. Her walking has improved in the same way. We finally have a great PT (the best and only one since Zale) and we continue to be blessed with the wonderful ST, who has been with Kristi since she returned to Paris. The only OT that she gets is from a wonderful friend who voluntarily drives 12 hours every month to help Kristi because weve not been able to get OT here in Paris. Kristi needs these great professionals daily to continue to progress. PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS! Thank you all for your CONTINUED support - the Anthonys.
