Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Nor seek the LORD! 3 Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out His hand, Both he who helps will fall, And he who is helped will fall down; They all will perish together. (Isaiah 31:1&3) As Christians we often fail the test of trust in God. We pride ourselves in human institutions, systems, technologies and networks as our great hope in life. We see numbers or strength in our talents, workplace, family, wealth or establishments. However, we fail to recognize God and seek Him as our ultimate source and provider. God says if we put our confidence in institutions, people, systems and technologies, He shall destroy both us and them so we can learn to depend on Him. Look up to God at all times, my friend. No matter what He has blessed you with dont turn your back on Him. Youre blessed indeed!
