Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help ... but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the LORD! Isaiah 31:1 Another ridiculous testimony in the Pentecostal Evangel today from a lady who is the childrens pastor at an AG church who was diagnosed with cancer. She says, In those dark moments we have no choice but to completely rely on God. In other words, were going to rely on the doctors first and then if that doesnt work, like in this case, then we have no choice. Why not trust God first? Thankfully the Lord was merciful and healed her because she had a faith-filled pastor but she will lose that healing if she doesnt get her faith straightened out. These testimonies are in here almost every week and I guess they think it glorifies God but it doesnt; it encourages others to make God your last resort. I get so sick of being in churches where they pray, Now, God, just guide the surgeons hand. Ever notice in the REAL Church--the one in the Book of Acts and Im sure probably exists somewhere today--that the only people who died were martyrs! Why? cause they werent praying silly, immature little religious-spirit filled prayers.
