Women & Crime in our Country: is it a trend worth watching. The story of two ladies appearing in court for stealing a car; appears certainly unusual and perhaps funny; it has made headlines in the past few days. While i do not have the statistics of females involved in crime over time; i dnt think it will be misguided to assume women have over time been less associated with crimes of this nature. The story sounds funny and unusual: however it also has potential of communicating a deeper economic story that most of us many not be paying attention to. Locally and internationally it has been confirmed that increase in players of the crime circles is usually associated with economic hardships faced by citizens. It would be interesting to one day have a chat with these two ladies and other ladies that may have been convicted of similar circumstances.
