Women in Project Management Africa ( WiMPA) for launch The gender gap may not be as wide as it was three decades ago, but women entering the project management profession still face obstacles that are less likely to impede their male counterparts, says Project Management Institute The Direct Leadership Institute ( DLI) and the African Project and Program Management Association ( APPMA) are pleased to announce the birth of Women in Project Management Africa (WiMPA). Women in Project in Management Africa (WiPMA) is a Pan-African non-profit professional network aimed at empowering and developing the capacities of women in project, change, program and portfolio management. The WiMPA is due for formal launch at the Award/ Fellows investiture night ( June 27) during the 2014 African Project and Program Management Conference ( APPMC) scheduled for June 23-28, 2014 at the Holy Trinity Spa & Health Farm, Ghana.
