Women of Georgia, Unite and Call, Message or Email the Governor! Call your state senator and representative! It seems that you may no longer use your maiden name as part of your legal name when renewing your drivers license as in First, Maiden, Married name. Even if you have legally used that name to earn money, pay taxes and social security for many years, you must now change your license to First, Middle, Married name and drop your maiden name. Many of us have been using our legal married names with our maiden names longer than we were single! This is also the name we have used to legally VOTE with for many years! Ridiculous! Idiotic!
