Womens Leadership Summit - Dallas, TX Feb 25, 2015 The United Way Women’s Leadership Summit convenes, connects and celebrates dynamic business and community leaders who are committed to igniting the power of women to advance the common good. The 2015 Summit will be held February 25-27 in Dallas, Texas. Through breakout sessions and networking opportunities, attendees will develop and exchange ideas and experiences that impact their lives professionally and personally. The Summit will allow for an exchange of best practices on how to establish, grow and increase the impact of United Way Women’s Leadership Councils (WLCs). The United Way Women’s Leadership Council is a global network of more than 55,000 women, in 145 communities (across 6 countries), united around creating a stronger community and inviting women to be part of the solution. The Council has more members giving more money than any other similar group, raising more than $1 billion in 12 years. Far from being transactional donors, Women’s Leadership Councils have been critical to the transformation of the movement. They have been a driving force behind the rise of community impact – through involvement and impactful community change. Summit will allow for an exchange of best practices on how to establish, grow and increase the impact of the local United Way Women’s Leadership Councils through a focus on key national strategies of resource development, advocacy and leadership.
