Wonderful World Wednesdays brings you Anakin, the Two-Legged Kitten. This is a video very worth watching. And when you have finished watching this one, you can check the others that Anakins family has posted on YouTube; it will be time well spent. Hes about 6 months old now, and he seems to be doing just fine in spite of the fact that he was born without back legs or a pelvis. When this picture was taken, he was only two months old and hes--well, hes just so...normal! He plays, he purrs, he climbs! He catches flies and eats them! It is an amazing story about survival and about love. Hell always be a special needs kitty. When he was four months old he had two surgeries for a prolapsed rectum. Whenever you see a four-legged creature making do with just two legs, you have to know that if there is a surface making contact with the ground that is usually up in the air, there might be some problems. His family will have to make sure that they really watch his weight; hes walking and climbing with just those two front legs, so they will want to make sure that he doesnt have to drag too much weight up the side of the bed. They will probably want to watch what he eats since theyll have to be a little concerned about whats coming out the other end. But mostly, they just have to love him, and thanks to them, the world is world is a little bit more wonderful. May the Force be with you, Anakin.
