Wonderful news! This morning Muyisa (aka Ihirwe) was introduced to the social group at GRACE. She was calm and received a very friendly greeting from the rest of the gorillas, including hugs! This was Muyisas first time to be with gorillas since she was captured from the wild in 2011. We are thrilled for her! Thank you to all of our partners who worked very hard to make her transfer from Rwanda to DRC possible and to Gorilla Doctors and Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International who cared for Muyisa before she came to GRACE.
