Wood has played an important role as a construction material in countless British cars from MG to Morgan to Marcos. As a child in wood shop I built a 1:800 scale model of the USS Yorktown (CV-5) and I whittled countless small cars out of easily formed balsa. The de Havilland Mosquito was legendary as the Royal Air Forces wooden wonder (aluminum was in short supply so it was largely crafted using wood). This 1974 Midget has taken that theme to the limit with wooden bodywork over steel floor pans. If anyone has better images of this car wed like to see them especially from the rear.
