Wopila tunkasila for the beautiful experience at the thunder lake sundance, for showing me another way of life, for giving me a new family (sundance family) I learned forgiveness, strength, courage, and to be humble because I chose to walk this way of life. Ushila (pitty) those who are negative and wasting their own energy. *-I took my crown to gloria because she was on my mind and In my prayer every round I danced, I cried because I knew she was there, like she said she would if I was ever to dance... I took my dad my ankle cuffs because I knew he kept my legs strong with every stomp... my faith was tested twice with in a year losing my dad and the woman who not only raised me but who I called mom... I was fortunate to say I have 3 parents but taking 2 in a years time? I was weak, I was lost, confused, hurting emotionally & spiritually. I decided to walk the red road and rebuild in everything I believe in. Ill never get over it, but ill learn to get through it. Wopila tunkasila & thunder lake family, those 5days of prayer brought my spirits up, those 2days I danced was tough but I made it. Happy new year thunder lake family! Mitakuye Oyasin!
