Word Of Exhortation Bring Forth Fruits Meet For Repentance Matt. 3:7-9, When he saw many of the Phrasees and the sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth fruit meet for repentance. And think not to say within youselves, we have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. When John the baptist saw the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said unto them, who warned you to flee from the wrath of God to come? In the same way, this question comes to us. Who warned us to flee from the wrath of God that is coming upon the world? It is not enough to join a church. It is not good enough to claim we are born again without true repentance. Lets stop deceiving ourselves. We can pray for hours, sing praise and worship songs, speak in tongues etc. All these cannot help us to escape the wrath of God that is coming upon the world if we have not surrendered fully our lives and endured till the end. John the baptist said unto them, they should bring forth fruit meet for repentance. This is the only requirement: true repentance. We must refrain from sin and the ways of the world to enter into everlasting life. Lets stop thinking that if we attend a church or are born again or speak in tongues that weve escape the wrath of God. God can raise up people who will worship and serve Him in truth and sincerity. The only condition to escape the wrath of God or the judgment of God is true repentance or living a righteous life. God richly bless you. Share with others
