Word is spreading, so I am doing a post to provide information on my health. I had ablation heart surgery 2 weeks ago to try and correct heart rhythm issues I have been dealing with the past couple of years. As a complication to the surgery, I developed deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in my thigh. The DVT caused me to be hospitalized for surgery to install a filter to capture any release of blood clots to prevent pulmonary embolism and/or stroke. My heart rhythm is still abnormal, so there is concern the ablation surgery from two weeks was not fully successful; however, it’s not uncommon to be in and out of rhythm for up to 8 weeks after the surgery while the heart heals. I’m home now feeling the best I have in two weeks and appreciate all the love.
