If 16 years after Abacha died, we are still hearing of his $458million loot being returned, please how much did he haemorrhage our treasury? If truly IBB made over $5billion during the oil windfall of 1991, by the value of the money at that time, a decent living family wont exhaust such stupendous wealth for generations. If Theophilus Danjuma made over $500million in one oil well deal, do you know such amount can put over 10,000 students through private university for 4-6 years. And many of his type owns more than five oil wells. I have often believed that theres enough to go round for every Nigerian if the politicians deliver well but chop small but when you try to eat all like James Ibori, then you send yourself, your wife, your mistress and sister to jail leaving your 3 daughters @the mercy of nannies. Chris Ngige chopped but he delivered; Peter Obi ate but he also delivered democracy dividends; Donald Duke ate but he gave his state Tinapa/tourist attractions & festivals that would keep generating funds for the state forever. If our Leaders can put self aside for a while and put the peoples need first and remember that Posterity is more important than Prosperity then our woes would be nearing extinction. Mrs Ibukun Awosika, a woman I respect so much is collaborating with the Ogun State government in building a furniture village that would catapult SME businesses into high productivity & shared earnings with the state govt; this is the kind of projects senators and house of rep members are supposed to be flagging off in their different local constituencies and before you know it, kidnapping, armed robbery, yahoo business would begin to fizzle out. I Believe in the New Nigeria and wont give up Hope; it may be long but we shall get there once the YOUTHS begin a Brain War without bombing places,robbing banks,giving themselves to militancy & terrorism. The Pen is still mightier than the Sword. We dont need a Blood Revolution. We need a Brain, Enterprise & Synergy Revolution.
