Words cannot explain how truly blessed we were Friday and Saturday! We first met Christine Cotton at Memorial Stadium for a personal tour of the stadium. We got to go walk on the field and Aniah took off for a touchdown and some people clapped when he got to the end zone! We got to see the last few minutes of the practice on Friday and Coach Cotton brought his boys over to Aniah and each one introduced themselves. We saw the press box, players lounge, players cafeteria, Heisman trophys, where they studied, and even Bos office door. Hung out with the freshman players. Even finally got to meet Christines sons Jake and Sam Cotton! The next morning of the game we had breakfast at the Wick Center on Campus and even ran into Sarah Jo! We met the guy that donated our game tickets and hotel to Make A Wish outside the Stadium and then met up with the guy that is in charge of Husker press(?) At the stadium, he took us down on the field to meet Husker alumni and watch the players warm up and got to be right there when they ran out of the tunnel! They even presented him a football autographed by Bo Pelini!! Our seats were on field level and in the shade the whole time. We could just walk across the hall to a room that had all you could eat Valentinos pizza and drink for FREE! The last touchdown of the game was scored right in front of us! I cannot express enough thanks to Nappa Auto parts for donating the hotel room and Husker tickets. The Cornhuskers for the experience of being on the field on game day. And of course to my girl, Christine Cotton, Coach Cotton and sons for all the love shown to us during Aniahs trip to Lincoln this weekend. Christine has been an lifesaver when it came to Aniahs diabetes and related issues and I just cant thank her enough! GOD IS GOOD!
