Work on the Round Pond Brook Trail bypass in Pittsburg will commence on Sunday the 14th beginning at 9:30 am. If folks would like to assist in finishing the brush out and blazing of about 3/4-mile of pathway, wed be happy to have you join in. Youll just need a branch lopper, perhaps a small hand saw (like a Fisker), perhaps an ax or a leaf rake, and thats that. The location of the trailhead is on Route 3 about three miles north of Youngs Store. There is a large pullout on the right, the first one after passing the Connecticut Lakes State Park sign. The pullout is on the height of land and is across (south side) the road from the Round Pond Brook Trail starting point. Be sure to bring plenty of water and some trail snacks or trail food.
