#WorkFlow — Colossians 3:23 NKJV Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram are among the most popular forms of social media communication. One of the reasons is that it provides users with the opportunity to give status updates of their life. While this can become obnoxious, it can also serve as a way to stay in touch and keep up with the people you care about. One the more trendy status updates is posting what your “flow” is at the moment. To identify your current flow, you would use the symbol “#” which stands for “hashtag” So a post might look like this: #churchflow; #gymflow. There is also another popular hashtag and that’s #workflow. Your work flow tag can reflect when you work, who you work with, and where you work. While all of those pieces of information are good to convey, an even more important message is “How you work.” Your #workflow will only be as good as your perspective and your perspective depends squarely on your inward attitude. For this reason take notice of today’s verse. Paul is giving the Colossian believers instructions for family and work relationships. At times work can become a boring cycle, causing you to lose focus and maybe even your passion to be there altogether. There comes a time in every job including the ministry when you consider taking your foot off the gas and coasting. After all arent you entitled to cut back or cut corners if youre not being appreciated on the job? Or what about those co-workers that drive you nuts? Actually, God has bigger reasons for you being where you are than just your paycheck or position. He is using your job to train your character. He is, no doubt, providing opportunities for you to grow in maturity, share your faith, and learn valuable life lessons. Therefore, in the midst of difficulties on the job hold your ground and switch your focus. Remember that you are working for the Lord. In fact, as you begin another work week, start off by thanking God for your job and commit your #workflow to Him!
