Working as a consultant for a preppers how to guide, I discovered something today I would like to share with all of you. Everyone has different scenarios, Bug out bag must haves, and survival must knows. What a large percentage doesnt know or have is prevention. Prevention should be the first step to avoid any scenario or lessen the blow at least. If you fear economic collapse contact your governments and explain your fears, you elected them to be your voice. they Dont know what to say if you dont tell them. Also encourage more friends and family to pay a bit extra towards their taxes or buy US bonds. Loan the government money to help them avoid bad borrowing. If you fear forest fires living in a dry area- use metal fence posts around the perimeter of your property as much as possible. Keep at least 10 feet clear back from the fence line of shrubbery, wood sheds, stored fuels, etc. You dont need to have a dirt fire break, and yes grass does burn, but even though its not 100% fool proof it is a whole lot less likely to be as harmful. Think of your worst case and what would cause it. What can you do right now to deter, postpone, or weaken it?
