Working on small hay bales on neighbors fields. Really had to push - TopicsExpress

Working on small hay bales on neighbors fields. Really had to push it as rain is approaching. Running the old baler keeps you wide awake or you try to think about other things, like the National debate on GMOs. Here in Jackson County the issue has gone to sleep, little fan fare about it. We are quickly moving towards fall crops and what people grew and what people bought. I predict that we will find that nothing big came from the GMO ban. People didnt race out and buy up farms and go to work growing non GMO crops because they would sell well in Jackson County or the Nation. People didnt race out to all the organic farms and farm stands and buy up all the crops and food available. The big thing that hasnt happened is the crunching of hard numbers, how many acres of organic, non GMO land in Jackson county, how many acres that will stop growing GMO crops, profit and growth for organic, non GMO crops, in depth survey of consumers in Jackson County and food buying habits, and a long list of other important facts. Wake me up when the hard facts come in, mean while I better find some more hay to bale, less then 100 days to fall, frosts and winter.
