Working together works! Meet, Fredrick P. Feral. Fredrick wants - TopicsExpress

Working together works! Meet, Fredrick P. Feral. Fredrick wants to say, THANK YOU, to the people of Fort Wayne. Doesnt he look relaxed?? Well, he should! Freddie P. just learned that since the Community Cat Program officially started on August 18, 2014, almost 400 cats have been saved! To be precise, 377 cats are now fixed, vaccinated and microchipped and have been returned to their outdoor homes. Thanks to a new ordinance in our city, when cats who have no identifiable owners are turned in to Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control, they are transported to HOPE for Animals for services then returned to the location they came from (provided by the citizen turning the cat in) by the Allen County SPCA. In order to be a candidate for the program, cats must be at least 4 months old, healthy and they must clearly have resources and shelter available to them upon return. If YOU or someone you know cares for outdoor cats, please contact us. ALL cats living outdoors in Fort Wayne are required to be fixed, vaccinated for rabies, microchipped and ear-tipped for identification. If you are caring for a large colony, we can help you catch and transport them all. (Maybe even at no cost to you!) Give us a call! 260-440-8893, or send us a message, and well send out the Community Cat Crew! 377 lives saved! Excellent job, Fort Wayne!!
