Working with a young twenty year old intern from Texas, he mentions how he heard a song by some hip hop guy today that was really good. I asked who the artist was (wont name him here, doesnt matter) and I couldnt help but judge how bad generic hip hop is nowadays as compared to the glory days of the 90s/00s. I then felt incredibly old, and mentioned how that is such an old thing to say. But seriously, aside from a handful of artists out there (that are newer than 5 years) there is soooooo much trash being played. Now get off my lawn as I bang out some Public Enemy and sip a 40 while reminiscing with other older gentlemen about our day.
