Would every one please please please share this let the word get out to everyone how hughesnet riped me off then reported us to collections. We were looking for an Internet provider per DIRECTV, we decided to try satellite internet, Hughesnet, you may be familiar with them if you have DIRECTV. well they offered one month free trial, and they would take $39.99 out of my account but put it back after a few days. well a proximately on the third day we decided the service wasnt working for us, so we discontinued the service. There after HughesNet took $51 out of my account without my permission. bottom line I want my money back and they wanted their equipment, well I suggested they send those contractors out tnat set the equipment up, because I felt something was funny about this deal. after they receive their equipment it will be 40 to 45 days before I can get my money back. I asked why cant you have the guys come back out here who hook it up, they replied it would cost HughesNet $100. Needless to say, at first I was reluctant for obvious reasons, but my wife sent it back because they billed us for the equipment, and because we didnt send it back in a timely manner their reportted us to collections. HughesNet is a scam rip off. PLEASE HELP ME BOYCOT HughesNet. And in protest im thinking about droping DirectTv for continuing to support HughesNet. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, but theres only so much that they will do, so please stand with me.
