Wow - Donnie Simpson really brought it home. A MUST READ FOR HIM!!! My 2 cents: I wasnt born when the President was killed but in my home President Kennedy had his own position of prominence on a beautiful velvet quilt that dawned my Grandmothers living room wall - to this day I still love that quilt - in many ways that quilt told our families history our families sole worth. On a day like today I am moved to pull it out and just take in the history that was absorbed in that quilt over the years (yes I still have that quilt because it meant the world to my Grandmother and what she tired to instill in her children and their children to pass it on) it was hanging in my Grandparents Home - Its my understanding that my Grandmother was outside in the garden and Kimberly Raines and Beverly Adele Wideman (HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN TOO YOU BOTH) is how she knew something had gone terribly wrong - smart kids even at pup stage (love you twins) here we are 50 years later and I still remember Grandma in a special way telling the story and how the feeling of sorrow enveloped me as I listen and try to place myself in that moment..... Yes Donnie Simpson the child on the bike will never be the same - it happened before my time but the sense of loss was still embedded in my memory for life!!!! RIP President Kennedy - In the words of First Lady Jacqueline B Kennedy: There will never be another Camelot
