Wow - not quite sure how this works, but in the latest FB Random Facts About Me craze, Noelle Duvoisin gave me the #9 - so here goes: 1. Im the eldest of 4 daughters 2. Spent the first 4 years of my life in Flatbush, Brooklyn, during which time I proposed to my first great love, Peter Rosenberg, on the boat swing in our back yard (he turned me down but we remained boat swing pals ...) 3. Im named after my mother, Ingrid, but have been known as Cookie since I was 3 days old, when my Aunt Ann came over and pronounced me a cute little cookie (my cousin Harriet has since told me that her mom told ALL the babies she ran into that they were cute little cookies - so much for feeling special - lol ... 4. Ive been inordinately proud of being Norwegian (first generation) ever since I was a little girl - and started writing to my cousin Anne Bakken when I was in 4th grade (I met Anne ... well, move on to #5 for more on that ...) 5. Because of my love of my heritage, and also due to a small stipend my mom received when my god-mother, Tante Asbjorg, left when she passed away, my folks sent me to Norway for 3 months at the end of 5th grade (I actually got to leave school at the end of April - had homework to do on the ship ... Move on to #6 for more info on this ...) 6. I traveled to Norway on the SS Stavangerfjord which took 9 days to make the voyage and celebrated its 50th year on the sea during that time - I celebrated my 11th birthday during that time too - in Norway, I got to meet many many wonderful relatives, who I am pleased to say I am still close with today - one of them being my cousin Anne, who I just saw last summer after more than 50 years! 7. Moving away from the Norwegian thing - I have LOVED being the mother of 4 of the most fantastic people on the planet - as well as now being the grandmom of one of the cutest little munchkins ever ... 8. I LOVE to dance - everything from rock n roll to Contra to Zumba to Scandinavian (and there is a difference between Norwegian, Swedish and Danish dancing - subtle at times but its there - and oh, mastering those turns - Ill be in practice mode for years yet ...) - would love to learn Tango and Salsa - definitely on the bucket list ... 9. I think Ive been here before ... and more than once ... Ok, now what do I do with this game? Anyone know if Im supposed to pass on a random number to anyone else???
