Wow...2015. This is the first day of a new year. It is the first day of a new beginning, a new life. This year I will turn 60. Oh is that intimidating to see in print. Well, my daughter Liz and I have made a pact to help each other this year to re-invent ourselves. This year we are going to be the best we have ever been. I told Liz that on my 60th birthday this May I wanted to look and feel better than I did on my 50th (and I looked pretty good then). Through analyzing my lifestyle, I discovered that I have been neglecting myself. I have spent so much time and energy focusing on so many other people in my life that I have forgotten to focus on me. So, I have begun to redirect some of my focus and energy inward. I had forgotten that part of service to others is taking time out to recharge my batteries through a personalized health and fitness plan. My myriad of health issues greatly limits my choices , however, my daughter Elizabeth Nash, who happens to be a Beach Body coach, is helping me to create a plan just for me. Just for me...I have spent so many years trying not to think of myself but live and be like the Savior that I nearly wiped me out of existence. I now must walk the fine line, a tightrope if you will, to reach the land where you and me co-exist. I will simply step into the background so you can be in the foreground. Its the best of both worlds; as long as I keep one toe on that ground, I will still be unselfishly serving. I am so very grateful to my loving Heavenly Father who sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, to be our Savior. I am alive. I can see. I can hear. I can walk. I can talk. I can still type and write. My health issues are irrelevant. AT LAST By Susan Marie Nash My life is changing now at last; My sorrows all are in the past.
