Wow, 80 000 spectators at the 5th annual Cape Town Carnival last night, 25000 more than last year. Jaw dropping floats and dancers made their way through the corridor known for bringing some of the best creative alive onto the streets of Cape Town. I got to take backstage pics with DJ Fresh and MiCasa and end off my night in style in one of the most luxurious hotels in Cape Town, the Culinan (where the big bosses stay when on business trips) LOL! Only sad part of the night, it ended too soon. The PoPolies here in the Mother City must go learn a thing or two in Jozi though, which is 1: You NEVER put our DAWG on a leash and secondly: expecting a DJ of his caliber to just stop in the middle of a set is like calling off your men seconds before rading upon a notorious crime syndicate cause your Captain didnt come to the party . A very big Hi5 to the organizers of this fabulous event. Your hard work surely paid off and Im honoured to have been part of this spectacular project! Even Bigger Hi5 to the PR and Marketing Manager of the CT Carnival, Shelley Finch who managed to organize an event that takes months and months of preparing and lots of sleepless nights and still managed to Jika backstage afterwards! You go girl, my PR HERO. One day I want to be an awesome PR such as this wonder woman! What can I say, a truly unforgettable experience and even better having the opportunity to be taught by the best!
