Wow... I cant believe it was 19 years ago today that I received the most special gift to that point in my life, October 26th (1995)! A son. A perfect boy who held no flaws. A blank canvas for his mother and I to build and imprint on. Named after moms father character on, Beverly Hills, 90210! Now, here he is more and more a man every day. needing us less and less. I was always so protective of him as a baby. Just a kid myself I often took dumb risk. We were in Maine once and I used to love rock climbing. Sharon watched from a ledge as I climbed this little rock side with Dylan strapped to my back. I dont even think he was one. One of the straps unloosened and I felt Dyl slip. I reached back to grab him and in doing so I flipped him upside down. He fell head first to the rocks beneath. I could see the look on Sharons face and as I climbed down I heard no crys. When I got to him, he seemed ok but we rushed him to the hospital anyway. The doctor said that all the clothing Dylan was wearing (especially his wool hat) saved his life. He kills me to know as he grows more and more Ill be there less and less to pick him up. Dylan, your mother and I were best friends. Nothing could separate us. You were the result of pure love. The most innocent of types. As my memory fades, these stories of your life will always be with me. I love you son. Always and forever. Your father. Happy Birthday!!!!
