Wow, I have always been attracted to this story. Didnt realize until recently the controversy that comes from inside its pages. So many lessons. *Perhaps we have more to give, even when we feel like we have nothing left. *How we continue to take from our worlds resources and only when crisis occurs do we even notice. *Being thankful for those (parents/loved ones) who truly love you enough to give up everything, to satisfy your own needs/wants. *Unconditional and conditional love. * Maybe our lives are symbolic of a tree giving until we are used up, similar to a candle burning brightly until the end. Could it be that the tree is God (our Savior) and we tend forget His Love at times and HE remains available until our last breath to find refuge? I had no idea Id spend this much time on this post, but went to deep to delete. This is what happens when you go to Barnes and Noble to ride their elevator with your kids.
