Wow! I just woke up to realisation that the Convention is over... I have barely had time to breathe so that is the reason I have been absent in the social media world. So here is my update :) I would love to put into words how amazing it has been but I dont know where to start! I am still finding it hard to understand it myself... I have never felt so much happiness in one place, I have never cried with, laughed with and hugged so many strangers. I have connected with so many people who love doing what they do. The kick off session was empowering, I heard stories of so many zins who have used this programme to make a positive change in the world, Zin members who have reached out to help their fellow colleagues and communities and Zin members who have continued their beautiful outlook on life even after having to endure life changing events or loss. The one thing that stood out was that they have stayed strong, fought hard and stood together because of this programme. This is more than just a career, it is a lifestyle, an attitude and most importantly who we are! A community of neon clad, jingle bell wearing, loud and proud, crazy optimists :) I got to meet many fellow zcom volunteers from all over and they are amazing :) with these people helping to connect their communities this programme is only going to grow stronger. As for the sessions.... they were unbelievable. Every presenter I had was inspiring... they gave us so much energy and direction, even on Day 4 when were all broken and close to exhaustion they had us giving it 110%. They were a constant energy supply that we plugged into. Last but not least the closing session... it had me in tears for all the right reasons :) Home office have just released an amazing anti bullying campaign and as a Zumba kids instructor this is something that is very close to my heart. As for our 3 amazing leaders, the Albertos, these are 3 of the most humble people I have ever seen. They say a team learns from their leader so I guess I know why I have spent 4 days with 7000+ amazing Zin members :) I now have no voice, my legs arent working and my glutes are on fire but I cant wait to come home and try to bring as much of this positivity to you. I have missed you all and cant wait to rock it out with you in class. I just want to add that I am so grateful to each and everyone of you for coming to my classes every week. Without you I couldnt do what I do and there would be no programme. See you all soon xxx
