Wow! Its hard to believe that another years has gone and a new one has begun. Its a time to reflect on our previous years victories and losses of lives that we desperately tried to save. We have finished with our highest adoptions ever in a single year: 220 cats adopted & 269 dogs for a total of 489 pets that found their forever homes. A total of 502 animals came to Hope Center and we lost 5 that could not be helped. Our Save rate for 2014 was 99 % Its a time to give thanks for the way these lost lives taught us how to persevere under the most difficult circumstances, always, even till the end, wagging their tails or purring before their last breath with our hearts wrenched with sadness. Its a time to give thanks for all of our partners who labored with us, shared prayers for the less fortunate and severely neglected animals and for those who shared their homes and their hearts through adoptions. Its a time to thank our fosters, volunteers, employees at both Hope Center and Hopes Garden Resort for their tireless efforts in providing the best care available with hearts filled with compassion and a desire to Serve. Its a time to give thanks to our donors who fully support our efforts in saving the worst of the worst cases of neglect and cruelty. Its a time to give thanks to the Veterinarians that support our mission through discounted services. Pet Care veterinary Hospital, Hilltop Veterinary Clinic and Norfolk SPCA. Its a time to give thanks to Jeb Bishop for his willingness to fly animals in desperate situations from where they are to Hope Center. A servants heart! Its a time to give thanks to our God for His faithfulness in expanding our territory to save lives in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, and many other locations including all of our local facilities. We will never forget when God ordained Hope for Life Rescue and gave it His blessing even to assigning its name after many months of prayer. We pray now that all that we say and do would honor the God who saves. What can we expect in 2015? All of our readers play a very important part in the results from sharing our pets on social media to increase adoptions to supporting us financially and to those who will join us in thepartners in Hope program and many, many others who will find us for the first time. We have maximized our space to the best of our abilities and we have outgrown both Hope Center and Hopes Garden Resort. Our prayer now is for God to open up a door to a large piece of property or whatever His will is for our future growth. Its not often enough that I can just sit and reflect on all that has occurred in the previous year and how thankful I am for each and every one of you!
