Wow. We all know how Yelp reviews are, well, a whole bag of worms and we try to read them with a grain of salt, both the good and the bad. But sometimes we get one that is really so touching and speaks to what we are trying to do and we got one of those today. Not only does this hit on what we are trying to do with our food, but speaks to the slow and steady process of what it has meant to build up the lot we share with other carts. We have a special thing going on and it feels good when people recognize that. So, heres the review: Cheese is a bit of a soft spot for me, so my expectations for this cart were HIGH. They didnt disappoint. You can get anything from seasonal cheese plates, to mac and cheese, to sandwiches. And in the summer they also pickled all sorts of different veggies. Did I say cheese was a soft spot? I meant pickles. Nom, nom. My very favorite thing about this cart is how their menu is seasonal, and theyre always coming up with creative dishes that fit whats coming in from the farms. Grilled cheese sandwiches with local cheeses and stuff like brussel sprouts, or asparagus, or pickled beets... I would have NEVER thought to make these, but it works and is delicious. Theyve taken the farm to table movement, and made it work in about 90 square feet. I also really like this pod, and have enjoyed watching it grow in the last year. Theres a really diverse group of carts (including sweets and beer), and covered seating.
