Wow Wow Wow... There are a lot of very strong feelings out there in our body...the body of Christ... concerning the preaching of the Osteens. I personally have never heard them preach anything contrary to the Word of God. If I had, I would be the first to put up the red flags. I love the Word, I am a student of the Word. The controversy over preachers and their preaching is not a new thing... its as old as the Bible itself, Luke 9:49, 50 Some of Jesus disciples didnt like how Johns disciples were casting out demons but Jesus said. Do not hinder him; BECAUSE he who is not against you is for you. I remember when Kenneth Copeland started preaching The Faith Message, oh my, you would have thought he was the Anti-Christ himself. He was misunderstood, misquoted, and judged to be a heretic in the late 70s. YES... there are going to be false teachers, yes there are going to be anti-Christs... the Bible says that if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived in the last days by such men. There will be some hell, fire, and brimstone preachers, there will be some grace preachers, there will be some faith preachers, there will be some holiness preachers... but as long as they preach Jesus and him crucified and that Jesus is the only way to heaven, they are with us! I refuse to watch commentary that has been edited to suit the editors preference. Listen to the man and judge for yourselves whether or not he is of God! Leave preaching style and text preference out of it. WE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST! Yes there is a measure of accountability... and God holds the scales!
