Wow, everyone is dumping buckets of ice water on themselves. Not to undermine the tragedy of ALS, but the avg. persons odds of developing ALS are 1:1000, or 0.001%. In contrast, the odds of developing cancer is 44% for males and 38% for females, which compared to 0.001% is pretty damn big difference. Cancer killed 2 of my grandparents, my uncle, affected both of my parents, and has killed or attacked countless friends and extended family. So, if youre going to nominate me to dump ice water on myself to avoid giving $100 to a disease charity ...please dont. I dont always give money to disease charities, but when I do its for cancer.
