Wow, here goes. It is with great sadness that I have to announce the closure of the Portcullis Hotel. The loss of our late license in April hit our business harder than we could have ever imagined. As a result, we entered into a long battle with the buildings owners to try and reduce our rent, a battle which we have sadly lost. Our last day of trading will be Sunday the 10th of November, we will be open as normal on that day, and will serve Sunday lunch until 5pm (please note it is remembrance Sunday on that day). The pub will then remain closed until further notice. I would like to say a heart felt thank you to everyone that has shown my self and Louis their support over the last 4 years. We have had some amazing times and its its been made by our loyal staff and customers....thankyou. We have raised thousands for charity in our time here, again only made possible by all of you, and what fun we have had doing it......thankyou. To everyone weve had work with us and grow up with us, the great characters weve had stay with us, and all the customers who enjoyed us......thankyou.
