Wowowoweewawa! Whole lotta dialogue just got stirred up. Im glad. We need to chat about this stuff. Its healthy. A few things: I dont support what goes on in North Korea, and I thought that was clear in my post. I am pointing out the silliness of picking a fight with North Korea. As far as she is canadian, whats this we shit? Yes, yes I am. But i say we when talking about America because I have lived here for 17 yrs and feel it is my home and its people my brothers and sisters.... I am pretty Americanized at this point and proud of it. The point of the we was to include myself as a member of this community and not imply any sort of canadian superiority complex. Acknowledging patterns of white entitlement and saying it out loud does not make me racist. It just makes me someone who acknowledges it. Im allowed to be disappointed by it. It doesnt mean I hate white people, and the fact I even have to clarify that is such a bummer. Lastly, I have learned a lot reading all of your comments, and I respect the opinions of those that differ from my own. I am always open to learn. I am clearly no scholar or politician, and there are plenty of people more qualified than myself for these types of debates. What I do have is a deep well of compassion for all beings and a fair amount of good sense..... And a knack/annoying habit of pointing out those who are not fully employing their own. As I said, I enjoy reading all of the different opinions and ideas from all of you, even who disagree. What I ask of you now is to please try and express yourselves in the least hateful manner possible. Sure, be heated, be passionate. Disagree with me and each other and stand your ground but please be respectful. Someone actually wrote that he wished I would stop breathing. Really? You think I shouldnt be alive because of that post? I should die because I dont share your opinions? Interesting concept. I also saw a fair amount of name calling and insult throwing amongst commenters. Please folks, dont do that. Be kind to each other. Xo E
