Wrestling fans can be some of the most passionate folk on Earth, - TopicsExpress

Wrestling fans can be some of the most passionate folk on Earth, but they can also be among the most obsessive and closed minded. For those who think EVERYTHING in the past was better, thats simply not true. As much as I loved 70s and 80s wrestling, I also do remember guys like Ivan Putski in endless headlocks. Folks like The Shield, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, CM Punk, Angle, AJ Styles, etc. can wrestle circles around SOME of the old school guys and do moves a lot of them could never have dreamed of. Was it more credible THEN? Of course. But was EVERYTHING better? Not at all. For those who think every Japanese wrestler is somehow superior to every American wrestler, thats simplistic, too, and just not true. AND Ive seen many, many Japanese wrestlers live and although some are incredible technicians, it doesnt always mean they have off the charts charisma like some lesser American wrestlers. Sorry, folks. And for those who loathe everything about WWE, its actually a better product than a year ago with more of an emphasis on wrestling than in previous years. Although many of us root for the underdog, TNA, which I did for a good decade, it is pretty much unwatchable at this point, has jumped the shark, and feels like WCW at the end. They never had the courage of their convictions to do a true alternative to WWE emphasizing the X-Division and now it truly feels too late. And yes, I of all people, actually enjoy watching WWE more than TNA in 2014 although WWEs far from flawless. I await the wrath of the fans.
