Written to my brother: I bought myself a 5kg medicine ball this weekend because I felt like I was getting a good workout doing bounce squats at the gym. Guess what? My house is not a gym. The ball is not the same as the one at the gym and the wood flooring in my house does not make for the same bouncing conditions as the rubberized floors at the gym. At the gym, the ball would bounce a few inches off the floor, and I would quickly squat to pick it up before it hit the ground a second time....in my house, I throw it down once and in the middle of doing that important quick squat to catch it on the first bounce....the f@$%ing thing comes up high and hard and gets me right in the throat, also causing me to bite my tongue. I wrote this with a sore neck, bleeding tongue and a big red mark where I thought I collapsed my wind pipe. Happy workouts to ya
