I would have to say my defining moment in gaming was beating fire and the flames on guitar hero 3. Months and months of training had led to one 6 minute jam session to determine if i had what it takes to be better than most, to become the elite. As soon as the song starts im furiously battling the zigzag design of notes at some point having to use both hands in the hope of defeating this great feat. As the intro passes a release of breath is audible from all around me. Iv passed the first challenge though the worst is yet to come. After a minute or my hand is on fire instinct taking over furiously trying to keep up with the 3000+notes in 6 minutes. With an average of 5 notes per second the challenge seemed daunting. Did i really have what it takes. The easy parts are over the solo begins. Silence all around me every1s eyes glued to the screen. Looks of disappointment as i begin to falter the solo starting to get the better of me. Somehow i hold out till the second solo but i quickly drop into red, the tension thick as every1 expects defeat. Suddenly i jerk the guitar upwards and keep fighting as star power carries me through the worst. Peoples face begin to light up. I might actually do it. Roars of cheers erupt as i complete the solo, the worst is over im gona do this. My fingers ache barely moving but i must keep going. A fumble and i drop back into red with 20 seconds to go. With a last bout of determination i shut down the world around me and become one with the game. I come out of my trance, brought back to reality by cheers, screams and fist bumps. I had become a legend
