Xavi and Iniesta amongst the 15 midfielders nominated by FIFA FIFPro Andrés Iniesta and Xavi Hernández are the Barça candidates in midfield for the FIFA FIFPro 2014 XI. The two are included in the preliminary list of 15 midfielders, which also features ex-Barça players Cesc Fàbregas –now at Chelsea- and Touré Yaya –Manchester City, alongside Xabi Alonso (FC Bayern Munich), Di Maria (Manchester United), Eden Hazard ( Chelsea FC), Kroos (Real Madrid), Modric (Real Madrid CF), Özil (Arsenal FC), Pirlo ( Juventus), Pogba ( Juventus), James Rodríguez (Real Madrid), Schweinsteiger (FC Bayern Munich) and Arturo Vidal (Juventus). The final line up will be a result of the votes of the 60,000 professional footballers all over the world and will be announced at the FIFA World Player of the Year awards in Zurich on January 12. Xavi and Iniesta join Club colleagues Claudio Bravo -chosen amongst the five best keepers – and Piqué, Jordi Alba, Alves and Mascherano amongst the 20 defenders pre-selected for the XI.
